Cafe Dinkels

Mugioto

In Tokachi, which boasts Japan’s top wheat production, one bakery you absolutely should not miss is “Mugioto.” The site spans 11,000㎡—the largest for a single independent bakery in Japan. Here, you can enjoy freshly baked bread while gazing at wheat fields and gardens that change expression with the seasons.

All Mugioto bread is made with 100% Tokachi wheat. Using plenty of Tokachi ingredients, they bake with the desire to “deliver the land’s bounty just as it is.” With a chewy texture and gentle sweetness, you will encounter the “taste of Tokachi wheat” you can only experience here.

Breadmaking here is done together with the power of nature. Wind turbines on the grounds turn waterwheels, which drive millstones to grind wheat into flour.
