A Stroll Among the “Wrapping Paper Flowers” at Rokkanomori in Tokachi

At Rokkanomori, wildflowers that adorn Rokkatei’s famous floral wrapping paper bloom in abundance, with clear streams and grand elm trees welcoming visitors. As you stroll through the vast 10,000-tsubo garden with a slice of cake in hand, your senses are awakened to the charm of Tokachi’s seasons.

What is Rokkanomori?

Rokkanomori is a 10-hectare garden created by Rokkatei to bring the flowers on its wrapping paper to life. Facing the Hidaka Mountains, it is home to over 200 species of wildflowers, including the “Tokachi Rokuka” like katakuri, Ezo gentian, and Rugosa rose. Scattered throughout are a relocated Croatian farmhouse gallery and a memorial museum dedicated to artist Naoyuki Sakamoto.
