【Otofuke Town】Roadside Station “Garden Spa Tokachigawa Onsen” where you can enjoy hot springs × gourmet

Located in the center of Tokachigawa Onsen, “Garden Spa Tokachigawa Onsen” reopened as a roadside station in July 2020. As a multi-purpose spot that includes dining areas using local ingredients and spa facilities utilizing moor hot springs, it has become beloved by many visitors.

What first catches the eye is the array of gourmet foods using Tokachi-grown ingredients. Inside, there are four eateries offering a wide variety of menus.

  • The popular fresh-fried curry bread at “Yorimichi Bakery”
  • Italian cuisine using local ingredients at “Table Veggie”
  • Sweets & café at “Cafe Kitage no Cafe”
  • “Karaage House” featuring fried chicken from Nakasatsunai Inaka-dori

It’s hard to choose among these appealing spots, but on this day we went with the salt ramen and pizza from “Table Veggie.”

The “Vegetable Ramen (980 yen)” features homemade noodles kneaded with broccoli, paired with perfectly seasoned salt-based soup for a healthy and gentle flavor.

The “Margherita Pizza (1,300 yen)” combines a chewy crust made with Tokachi wheat and a refreshing tomato sauce with pleasant acidity. The aroma of freshly baked pizza is irresistible.

Next, at “Cafe Kitage no Cafe,” we tried the Big Frank (450 yen) made with “Moor Pork” raised on moor hot spring water. Each bite bursts with juicy flavor and umami, offering deep satisfaction.
