“Fujimaru Park” Opens 7/6! A New Landmark in Central Obihiro!
On Sunday, July 6, 2025, at 11:00 AM, the commercial zone “Fujimaru Park” will open on the site of the former Nokyoren Building (Nishi 3 Minami 7, Obihiro City). For a limited period of five years until the full reopening of Fujimaru Department Store (scheduled for 2030), this new downtown gathering place will bring together high-quality Tokachi gourmet, lifestyle items, and events. On opening day, you can enjoy horse-drawn carriage bar rides, a big prize lottery, and many more activities all day long.

① Food Shop & Lifestyle Shop (Fujimaru SHOP)
From carefully selected ingredients from Tokachi and Eastern Hokkaido to popular gourmet items from across Japan, plus organic cosmetics and premium towels. This directly managed Fujimaru shop is perfect “for gifts or for treating yourself.” You’ll also find imported kitchen tools, stationery, and accessories from long-established brands that “add color to your lifestyle.”
② Konnichiwa (Indian new concept)
The beloved family restaurant name, cherished by citizens until 1999, makes a comeback! Featuring exclusive items such as “Indian Man,” keema curry, and spicy fried chicken—all available only here.
③ Tokachi Doner
The popular kitchen car “Tokachi Kebab” opens its first dedicated doner kebab shop. The sandwiches, filled generously with Hokkaido-grown vegetables, are hearty and satisfying.
④ STAND Mebunryo
A long-established soba restaurant from Shimizu Town takes on an urban stand format. In addition to stone-milled soba, you can enjoy beef-toro rice bowls, soba tea pudding, and highballs in the evening.

Take a graceful 500m ride inspired by the Showa-era streetcar route. The view from the second floor of the two-story carriage is outstanding. Rides are free and on a first-come basis, so head to reception right at opening time!

The two directly managed shops accept the common “V-Point.” Expansion to all tenants and the online shop is also planned.
