Three Stay Styles to Choose From
At Easy Living Terrace, there are mainly the “Cottage,” the “Cabin,” and the “Main House,” with a total of four rooms of differing character. Below are the features of each.
1. Cottage

Enjoy soothing time wrapped in the warmth of wood
The first building you’ll notice upon entering the grounds is the wooden cottage, built in a log-house style. The gentle scent of timber and the high ceiling create an open, relaxing living space. The expansive area integrates the living room with the dining kitchen, and there’s a separate bedroom. A playful loft in the attic adds a vacation-home vibe.
Outdoors, a roofed wooden deck embraced by nature lets you unwind to birdsong—another highlight. For cottage guests only, smoking is permitted on the deck.
Well equipped for long stays, it includes kitchenware and seasonings, a drum-type washer/dryer, Wi-Fi, TV, and audio. Capacity is 3 guests; the third guest sleeps in the loft.
Recommended for couples or small groups who want a leisurely stay.
2. Cabin

Spend calm, tranquil moments in chic interiors
The Cabin, standing beside the Main House, is a special lodging space created in 2015 by renovating a garage. Its white exterior and modern interior are distinctive, while curated furnishings and a wood stove lend an extraordinary atmosphere and unhurried time.
The interior unifies the living space and bedroom in an open layout. Settle into the spacious sofa with a book, or savor meals while listening to the sounds of nature for a luxurious break.
Amenities are substantial, including a TV and wood stove, so you can enjoy both comfort and privacy. Capacity is up to 2 guests—ideal for couples or small parties.
3. Main House (currently suspended)

The Main House has a single and a twin room and can host up to three guests
The triangle-roofed Main House, emblematic of Easy Living Terrace, has two rooms: a twin and a single. Both prioritize quiet time, letting you enjoy a stay characteristic of Tokachi amid the warmth of a wood stove.
Twin Room

A twin room with large windows facing Tokachi Ranch for an open feel
The twin room includes two beds plus a closet and vanity, and features a modern bathroom with a bathtub (available 24 hours).
There’s no kitchen or laundry, but meals can be enjoyed in the Main House dining room. At night, relax in the gentle warmth of the wood stove for a quiet, cozy time.
Single Room

A single room perfect for tucking yourself away
The single-occupancy room is compact yet serene. The wall-length display shelves leave an impression, blending Japanese elements with an ethnic touch. It’s a space to immerse in thought or do nothing at all—creating indulgent “me time.”

The Appeal of Dining at Easy Living Terrace

At “Easy Living Terrace,” a thoughtfully prepared breakfast is served. Home-grown, pesticide-free vegetables and fruits from the garden are turned into handmade dishes that capture nature’s bounty.
For example, jams made with garden-grown haskap berries and blackcurrants are a specialty you can only taste here. Their refreshing tartness and gentle sweetness make morning bread feel extra special.

The owner’s thoughtfulness, attentiveness, and commitment made our stay extremely comfortable. The linen pajamas, towels, and beds were all high-quality, and we slept well. We stayed three nights and didn’t want to leave. We’ll be back again. (Source: Google Maps)
I traveled solo as a woman, and the friendly, cheerful female owner made it easy to chat; I had a safe and delightful stay. I spent one night in the Cabin. It had everything a solo traveler could need and was very comfortable. The surrounding area offered classic Tokachi scenery—endless fields and ranches—and at night the sky was filled with stars, letting me fully enjoy Hokkaido’s nature. | Breakfast was homemade by the owner using local produce; generous portions, and everything was delicious—very satisfying. | I could only book one night this time, but I’d love to stay two or three nights.
