A German-style holiday village dotted through the forest

True to its German name meaning “holiday village,” Feriendorf is a stay-type resort where cottages and tents are scattered throughout vast woodland. The cottages are authentic designs inspired by real German farmhouses, drafted by architect Wolfgang Wondisch, offering the warmth of wood and a classic atmosphere.

Every cottage is equipped with a wooden deck and BBQ grill, kitchen, shower, three bedrooms (varies by cottage type), Wi-Fi, and air-conditioning. Beds are by Slumberland, purveyor to the British Royal Family. Comfort is pursued without sacrificing the practical amenities needed for a pleasant stay.

At the forest manor-style Center House, you can check in and shop for ingredients or Hokkaido souvenirs. Depending on the season, the entire forest becomes a playground with activities like the “Children’s Forest” athletics area, vegetable harvesting, and quiz rallies.

“REIKUN – Tokachi Reikun Kobo” Loved by Food Lovers
The fresh meats and edamame served at the BBQ use the increasingly popular “cold-smoking” method. Unlike standard smoking, low temperatures over long hours add smokiness while preserving the original flavor. Even heat-sensitive foods like raw fish or seasonings can be smoked, so just a little can transform your everyday table.
Feriendorf houses “REIKUN – Tokachi Reikun Kobo,” and some course items feature their products.
